Suj is my nickname. I am 41 years old. On June 22, 2001 I graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in Syracuse, New York with (4.3 GPA) honor roll. In May 2003 I graduated from the Berkshire Hills Music Academy in South Hadley, Massachusetts after two-year residential Post-Secondary study in Music and Human services I play seven instruments, I have traveled 15 countries receiving awards from the presidents of 3 different countries. I am inductee of Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, Class of 2022. In 2016 I made commercial for Rio Paralympic World Games. In 2015 I performed at the Carnegie Hall. 2009 performed at the opening night Special Olympics World Games I am training for 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Sujeet Desai Inducted Into
BUFFALO MUSIC HALL OF FAME
On Oct 12, 2022 Sujeet was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame! He is the first musician with Down Syndrome to receive such and honor. The BMHOF was so proud to have Sujeet become an inducted member into the Class of 2022! The induction ceremony was held at Seneca One Tower on the evening of Oct. 12, with a LIVE concert performance following at The Cove Seafood & Banquets on October 13th in which Sujeet was in the spotlight accompanied by 2 fellow Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Inductees, Tom Lorentz and Robin Grandin. Sujeet is an Inspirational Musical Motivator!
His very existence is a motivational statement. How many people can say that? Sujeet Desai has been performing publicly for over 20 years. He gives motivational presentations and plays seven instruments. He has performed in 40 states and 15 countries, has won several national and international awards, and has been the subject of two documentaries. Three countries have awarded him presidential awards: Singapore, Dubai and Trinidad-Tobago. Desai has played for the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kentucky Philharmonic, the Trinidad-Tobago Orchestras and at Carnegie Hall. He has performed in front of as many as 140,000 people for a Special Olympics World Games event. In his travels, Desai has met many celebrities, including Oprah, Quincy Jones, and Kenny G. He has also won gold medals in swimming and downhill skiing from the World Games Special Olympics and has acquired a third-degree black belt in Tai Kwon DO. One might say that Desai is an overachiever. But his musical accomplishments are not what makes him unique. You see, Desai was born with Down syndrome.
Desai inspires others to achieve their dreams, no matter how impossible they may seem. Many kids with Down syndrome or other challenges have grown up watching Desai perform for the last 20 years. "People see me play, and they say they want to learn to play music," Desai said. "They say they want to dress like me too."
